Directions from Hilo Airport (3 miles - 10 minutes)

From the Hilo International Airport Access Road, turn right at the first stoplight onto Highway 11/Kanoelehua Avenue. Continue straight onto Banyan Drive. Pagoda Hilo Bay Hotel is located on the right hand side at 87 Banyan Drive.

A hold of 1-night's room rate plus tax will be applied to your credit card.

Yes, as long as the cancellation does not fall within the cancel period.

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel without penalty up to 3 days prior to arrival. If you cancel within 3 days, the 1 night deposit plus tax will be forfeited. A reservation that was not honored is considered a no-show and the advance deposit will be forfeited.

Yes, we offer an oceanfront swimming pool, but no Jacuzzi.

Do you provide beach or pool towels?

Yes, we provide beach towels.

How many floors and elevators do you have?

We have 3 floors and 1 elevator to service them.

What bedding options are available?

Bedding selections are provided by request only and we do not guarantee the requested bedding type. We do, however, do the very best we can to accommodate your requests. Standard and superior rooms include 2 double beds. Oceanfront rooms include 1 king or 2 queens. Studio kitchenettes include 2 doubles or 1 queen.

Do you allow pets?

Pets are not allowed in our guest rooms or resort area, with the exception of service animals. Noncompliance with this policy can result in a penalty fee and dismissal from the property.

DINING OPTIONS

Is breakfast included?

No, however there are a variety of options in our building and within a 1 block radius.

Do you have a restaurant, if not what are the closest restaurants and distance?

Uncle Billy�s General Store, located on-site, offers light, to-go fare. Our hotel is within easy walking distance of many restaurants.

TRANSPORTATION & LOCATION

Do you offer transportation?

We do not offer airport shuttles or transfers. However, transportation is available from the airport to the property including taxis, buses, and car service. Since the Big Island is a relatively large island, we strongly advise that you rent a car during your stay.

How close are you to the beach?

While Pagoda Hilo Bay Hotel is located on the Hilo Bayfront, it is not ideal for swimming. Swimmable beaches are available at Coconut Island and Richardson Beach Park, both a short distance away. White sand beaches are few and far in-between on the Big Island.

How far are you from the airport?

Approximately 3 miles or 10 minutes away by car.

Airport taxi service?

Yes, we call a taxi for you as needed and requested.

Do you offer parking?

Yes, parking is available free of charge.

Policies

Room Type - Payment & Cancellation Policies

Room Type - Payment Policy

All reservations require a deposit to be charged at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due upon check-in. The deposit amount varies, depending on the selected travel dates. For stays from:

  • January 3- March 31 2 Nights Deposit required
  • April 4 � December 22 1 Nights Deposit required
  • December 23 � January 2 5 Nights Deposit required

*Please note: If your travel dates fall within two policy periods, the larger deposit policy will be applicable.

The credit card used for the deposit must be in guest�s name or in the name of a member in the traveling party. The outstanding balance will be collected upon check�in, if not provided prior to arrival. Reservations are not confirmed until the initial deposit and reservation processing fee is received.

Room Type - Cancellation Policy
  • Cancellation Policy
    • Stays from January 3 � December 22: You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund by cancelling at least 14 days prior to arrival. All deposits are non-refundable for any reservation, which is not cancelled at least 14 days prior to arrival.
    • Stays from December 23 � January 2: Reservations made for stays including any of these days require a 90 day�s notice of cancellation prior to arrival in order to receive a deposit refund. All deposits are non-refundable for any reservations, which are not cancelled at least 90 days prior to arrival.
    • In case of a no show, none of the deposit will be refunded.

Individual Unit - Payment & Cancellation Policies

    • A 50% deposit will be charged at the time of booking
  • Remaining Balance:
    • Due 45 days prior to arrival for stays from January 3 � December 7
    • Due 60 days prior to arrival for stays from December 8 � December 22
    • Due 90 days prior to arrival for stays from December 23 � January 2

*Please note: In case your travel dates fall within multiple policy periods, the remaining balance will be due at the earlier date.

The credit card used for the deposit must be in guest�s name or in the name of a member in the traveling party. Reservations are not confirmed until the initial deposit and the non-refundable $25 reservation processing fee is received.

Individual Unit - Cancellation Policy
    • Stays from January 3 � December 7: You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund by cancelling at least 45 days prior to arrival. All deposits are non-refundable for any such reservation, which is not cancelled at least 45 days prior to arrival.
    • Stays from December 8 � December 22: You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund by cancelling at least 60 days prior to arrival. All deposits for reservations including any days within this period are non-refundable unless cancelled at least 60 days prior to arrival.
    • Stays from December 23 � January 7: Reservations made for stays including any of these days require a non- refundable reservation deposit at the time of booking. Cancellations received on or less than 90 days prior to arrival will result in a full charge.

Taxes and Fees
    • Room rates are subject to Hawaii General Excise Tax and Transient Accommodations Taxes, which currently totals13.962%.
    • A non-refundable $25 Reservation Processing fee will be charged at the time of booking.
    • A check-out cleaning fee will be applied to all bookings and will be assessed by the property at check-out. Fees are per stay, per condo unit, plus taxes:

  • 3+ Nights Stay

Minimum Night Stay Policy

There is a 2 Night Minimum Stay for all reservations, except for stays from December 23 � January 2 when there is a 5 Night Minimum stay.

Family Plan
    • Children 17 and under stay free using existing bedding; total occupants including children cannot exceed the maximum occupancy of the confirmed room. Noncompliance with this policy can result in a supplemental per person fee an/or immediate cancellation of the right to occupy the unit.
    • Cribs are subject to availability and can be rented for $20 per night.
    • Rollaway Beds are subject to availability and can be rented for $25 per night.
Additional Comfort
    • Parking can be purchased for $25 per day.
    • Additional housekeeping services can be requested for a surcharge.

Qualified Rates

To be eligible for a qualified rate (Military, Senior, Kama�aina, Government, AAA/CAA, Commercial, Airline employee, Owner Club, Travel Agent, etc.) guests must present a valid form of identification at check-in. If you are unable to provide sufficient identification, Castle Resorts & Hotels will provide you with the best available rate at the time of check-in.

Prepaid Non-Refundable Rate

Castle offers a pre-pay & non-refundable rate for selected properties at various times. To be eligible for this special rate, the full amount must be paid by the time of booking. All bookings are final and may only be altered by a qualified Castle Employee. Cancellation will result in a full stay charge.

Reservation Guarantee

Castle Resorts & Hotels cannot guarantee requests for specific units but will honor such requests when feasible based on availability at check-in. Castle Resorts & Hotels reserves the right to substitute alternate accommodations of a similar or superior room type. All reservations are subject to change or cancellation if rooms become unavailable for reasons including, but not limited to, natural disasters or other acts of nature, damage to the property or maintenance problems, strikes, owner usage, sale of unit, changes in applicable law, or failure of other guests to vacate as scheduled.
